Michael Halbrook

Michael Halbrook is a Field Agent with the Niemeyer Agency, serving Brother Knights and their families in Edwardsville and Glen Carbon in Madison County. Above all else, he is a husband to his wife, Suzanne, and the father of four sons, all students at or graduates of Father McGivney Catholic High School in Glen Carbon.

Ordained a permanent deacon of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois in 2021, Michael serves at St. Elizabeth Parish in Granite City. Much of his ministry has placed him exactly where this work begins and ends: preparing couples for marriage and witnessing their vows at the altar, and walking beside families through the moments - joyful and sorrowful - that shape a household's life. In the Litany of Blessed Michael McGivney, the founder of the Knights is invoked as "Apostle of Christian Family Life." That is the work Michael takes up as an agent. He believes a man is called to provide for and protect his family completely - spiritually and financially - and he sees this role as an extension of the same charge he took up at ordination: to serve his brothers and help them care for the people entrusted to them.

Michael brings three decades of leadership in media, marketing, and big-tech to that mission. Across a long career at the highest levels of the industry, he led people - and measured his success not by title or margin but by how faithfully he cared for those in his charge. As Chief Operating Officer of Exodus 90, he gave himself to the spiritual formation of men, and today he continues that work as a Catholic entrepreneur and founder building resources for the Church.

Michael is a Knight of Columbus (Third Degree, Council 1098, Tri-Cities) and serves as President of the Archdiocese of Mbarara Foundation, supporting the Catholic Church in Uganda. When he isn't meeting with families, you'll likely find him training for a runDisney race with one of his sons.
